The more things change the more things stay the same. I know I have said before and will probably say again but this one is appropriate for the new direction my blog will be taking. When I started writing this blog, both boys were at UF and Sarah was nowhere to be seen. Now both boys are working (Yea!!) and Sarah is a part of our life (Yea again!!). Hence, emptynestersfinally2.0.

Back to Emptynestersfinally2.0 -I will still be posting blogs about Brad, Lane, Sarah, Drew and I but that will only be apart of Emptynestersfinally.
I learned @Blogher convention that my blog needed a focus (I obviously foolishly thought Brad and I were focus enough- apparently not). Advice was given to me that I needed to know what I was going to offer my readers (besides my monthly drawings) so that they would come back and look forward to my postings. I spoke to many professional bloggers (surprise to me- that's what I thought I was) and asked for suggestions. I was crossing my fingers that they would not be too critical, I am not good at taking criticism but I bit my lips and listened to everything. I have to give a special shout out to Stacey Debroff @InfluenceHQ she talked to Brad and I for a while taking time out of her day to share her insights and experiences.
When you go to emptynestersfinally.com (assuming all of you will or at least tell me you did), you will see that I have added different sections - Life Hackers, Share the Wealth, Our home renovations, and Our Travels as well as my blog.
I had to do some soul searching to think what I really wanted the content of emptynestersfinally to be. I realized I am all about making Brad and my life easier (now Life Hackers makes sense) in all aspects while finding the best deals out there.
So that will be my focus. Life is complicated and I try not to make it any harder than it is (contrary to popular belief.) I want to share how and what I (we) do that makes our lives easier while getting the best deals out there.
I will still be writing about how Brad and I are coping with our Empty Nest, so all can breathe a sigh of relief (Ben.)
