During these crazy times here are some tried and true ways to stay healthy and sane from us - Empty Nesters Finally. Enjoy.
TIP #1: If you can, work from home but work in separate rooms. Keep your social distance and not necessarily because of the coronavirus but because you want to maintain your relationship. Who knows how long this could last? Brad says better safe than sorry.....
Now that I am writing this I wonder what he means ???
It's alway very important to have chocolate close. This can make or break you. Trust me.
TIP#2 Add humor to your day. Somehow somewhere. Brad gives me a kiss goodbye in the morning and tells me he might be late tonight even though he is only going about 10 ft into the home office. He knows that will get a chuckle from me. It makes the day go by so much faster and will give you something to smile about in these unprecedented times.
Tip #3 Listen to music. I prefer Motown and Brad likes Rock. It's good we are separate rooms. Do not watch TV unless you are watching reruns of Seinfeld, Friends or The Office. I promise you there is no good news out there yet. There will be but we all have to be patient (not one of my strongest characteristics.)
Tip #4 Exercise. If you have great weather take a walk, a stroll or a run. If not, any type of exercise will do. It will make a difference. You might even meet some new people but don't forget about social distancing tell them you will see them in a couple of weeks. Elbow them hello. Get their number and text.
FUN FACT: Apparently, now we can wipe our phones with a disinfectant wipe. I have always done that and had no idea that was not "allowed". Probably get a lecture from Brad now. Will keep you posted.
Tip #5 Wash your hands for 20 seconds. I know you have heard this a million times but I would be remiss not to mention again. I sing happy birthday to me twice and since this is still my birthday month. I make Brad sing to me too. LOL
We all know that this too shall pass and I know this seems trite. But my mother-in-law told me this and she never lies. :)
Hopefully a lot sooner than we think we will all be out supporting our local restaurants, bars and shops. Brad has no idea but since I have been home, I planted 2 money trees in the backyard. One of us needs to support our economy.
Happy Empty Nesting and Stay Healthy!
I would love to hear from you how and what you are doing for the next couple of weeks. Send pictures. I promise not to post without your approval.
